Welcome to Union BJJ — a friendly, inclusive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in the heart of Manchester city centre.

We’re proud to be affiliated with 6th degree Carlson Gracie black belt Parrumpa, head coach at American Top Team’s professional fight team and mentor to world-class BJJ champions and UFC athletes.

While Parrumpa is based in the U.S., Union BJJ is his only affiliated academy in the UK. Most of our classes are led by dedicated purple belts under his lineage, with regular guest sessions taught by black belt instructors to help expand your knowledge and experience.

Whether you’re stepping onto the mats for the first time or returning after a break, you’ll find a safe, supportive space here. Our focus is not just on helping you grow as a martial artist — it’s about becoming part of a team.

Class Schedule

🟢 Beginners & Drilling

Monday & Wednesday: 7–8pm

Perfect for newcomers or those who want to build strong fundamentals.

🟠 Intermediate

Monday & Wednesday: 8–9pm

For students with some experience looking to develop their game further.

🔵 Friday: Recap & Roll

7–8.30pm

A relaxed, open session to review key concepts and spar with teammates.
